Before starting any hair care routine, it’s important to understand what type of hair you have. Hair categorized on the basis of:

- Porosity: how well your hair absorbs or retain moisture
- Thickness: fine, medium, thick

CHOOSE THE RIGHT SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER
Washing your hair is the most important when it comes to hair care routine that’s why choosing right shampoo according to your hair type is important. Avoid using products that contains Sulfates, parabens and alcohol which can strip your hair of its natural oils. Its better to opt products according to your hair type.
- For dry or damaged hair, look for hydrating shampoo with ingredients like shea butter, argan oil or keratin.
- For oily scalp, look for clarifying or oil control shampoos with ingredients like salicylic acid, aloe-Vera or tea tree oil
- For coloured hair, use color safe shampoos and conditioners to safe the dye.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU WASH?

Washing your hair regularly can strip it of its natural oil and leading to dryness and irritation, for most of hair types, washing 2-3 times a week is enough.
- Oily hair: every 2 day
- Normal hair: 2-3 times a week
- Dry or frizzy hair: once or twice a week.
OIL AND MASSAGE YOUR SCALP
A oil massage once in a week helps to boost blood circulation, strengthen roots and help in hair growth. Choose an oil according to hair type such as coconut oil, argan oil or castor oil.

USE HEAT WISELY
Heat styling tools leads to damaged hair and hair breakage. If you are using heat it’s important protect your hair with heat protectant spray. Use the low heat effective temperature setting and use heat only 2-3 times a week.
REGULAR TRIM
Trimming your hair in every 6-8 weeks to prevents from split ends, it may not grow your hair faster but it will help it grow healthier.
